How the Final Merit List Is Prepared
The Personality Test carries 275 marks. The final merit list is prepared by adding the marks of the written Mains papers that count for merit (1,750 marks) and the interview marks, for a total of 2,025 marks. The Prelims is only a screening test, so its marks are not added to the final score.
Clearing the Mains does not guarantee final selection. Candidates will be recommended for services such as the IAS, IPS and IFS based on their final rank, preferences and the number of vacancies.
For the latest updates on the interview schedule and the final result, candidates should keep checking the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in.
