Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s spy comedy Udta Teer has started its second weekend on a positive note. The film collected Rs 2.85 crore net in India on Day 8, its second Friday, a jump of around 27% over Thursday. Its India total now stands at Rs 33.75 crore net, and its worldwide gross has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark.
On Day 9, Saturday, October 31, Udta Teer is expected to see a strong weekend jump and collect around Rs 4.5 crore to Rs 5 crore net, based on early trends and advance bookings. Here is the full Day 9 box office report.

Advance bookings for Saturday stood at Rs 2.25 crore gross with over 81,000 tickets sold early in the morning, more than double the Rs 1 crore the film had for Friday. That points to a big jump on the second Saturday.

Tuesday’s figure has been revised upwards to Rs 3.25 crore, which takes the first week total to Rs 30.90 crore net.
Udta Teer Week 1 Report: A Steady Start
Udta Teer crossed the Rs 30 crore mark in its first week, a decent result for a mid-budget spy comedy releasing in the shadow of Jailer 2. After a Rs 19.55 crore opening weekend, the film held above Rs 3 crore on Monday and Tuesday before slowing down to Rs 2.25 crore on Thursday. The Friday jump to Rs 2.85 crore, even with fewer shows, is a sign that word of mouth is still working for the film.
The film’s show count dropped from over 5,700 on Thursday to around 5,000 on Friday as new releases arrived, but occupancy improved to 13%. Nearly 15% of Hindi shows were filled on Friday, with evening and night shows doing the best.

Udta Teer has become Ayushmann Khurrana’s latest film to cross Rs 50 crore worldwide. Overseas markets have added nearly Rs 10 crore so far, with Rs 75 lakh coming on Friday.
What Next for Udta Teer
The second weekend will decide the film’s final run. If Saturday and Sunday come in around Rs 5 crore each, Udta Teer could end its second weekend at about Rs 43 crore to Rs 44 crore net in India. From there, a lifetime of around Rs 50 crore net looks possible if the film holds well on weekdays. The big challenge ahead is Ramayana, which releases on November 5 and is expected to take most of the screens.
