The film has skipped IMAX screens in India completely — a first for an MCU Spider-Man movie here. Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has IMAX screens locked worldwide, so Sony released Spider-Man in every other premium format instead: ScreenX, ICE, 4DX, MX4D, and the big PLF screens like PVR’s P[XL] and INOX’s BigPix.

The One Format You Should Chase: ScreenX
Before the city list, one thing you should know. Brand New Day is the first film in history that was actually shot for ScreenX. The ScreenX team filmed select scenes on set with their special three-sided cameras, so during the big web-swinging moments, the picture extends onto the side walls of the hall and wraps 270 degrees around you. This is not stretched or cropped footage — it was made this way.
India has only four ScreenX auditoriums, and luckily they’re spread across four of our six cities. If one of them is near you, that’s your answer. All ScreenX shows for this film are in 3D.
Delhi: INOX Pacific Jasola For ScreenX
Delhi’s ScreenX screen is at INOX Pacific Mall, Jasola — that’s the most unique way to watch this film in the capital, period. PVR Logix is a solid backup if Mall of India shows are sold out, which, given the record-breaking opening this film is having, is a real possibility this weekend.
Gurgaon: PVR Ambience Mall
For Gurgaon, PVR at Ambience Mall is the clear pick — it’s the biggest premium setup in the city with multiple high-end screens running the film all day. Weekend evening shows here sell out fast, so book a day ahead or aim for morning shows, which are also noticeably cheaper.
Mumbai: INOX Megaplex, Inorbit Mall Malad — Nothing Else Comes Close
Mumbai has the single best venue in the country for this film. INOX Megaplex at Inorbit Mall, Malad houses India’s first ScreenX screen, the ICE format (LED panels on the side walls that glow in sync with the movie), MX4D motion seats, and BigPix large-format screens — all in one property. If Malad is the wrong end of the city for you, PVR ICON at Phoenix Palladium, Lower Parel is a top-tier alternative, and Maison INOX at Jio World Plaza, BKC is the luxury option if money is not the question today.
Bengaluru: INOX Megaplex, Phoenix Mall Of Asia
Bengaluru’s answer is INOX Megaplex at Phoenix Mall of Asia, Hebbal — South India’s largest cinema, and home to the city’s ScreenX auditorium along with MX4D and Insignia luxury screens. If Hebbal is too far north for you, PVR Vega City on Bannerghatta Road has a well-loved 4DX screen, and PVR Forum Koramangala remains a dependable big-screen choice.
Kolkata: INOX Quest Mall Has The Crown Jewel
Kolkata quietly has one of the best setups in India for this film. INOX at Quest Mall, Ballygunge houses one of the country’s four ScreenX auditoriums — Bengal’s only 270-degree screen. For a more traditional big-screen watch, PVR P[XL] at Mani Square is the city’s largest screen (it was originally built as an IMAX), and it’s a fantastic way to see this film.
What About Dolby Cinema?
You may have read that Dolby Cinema is technically the best format for this film — and picture-wise, that’s true. But here’s the honest part most articles skip: Dolby Cinema currently exists only in Pune, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. There is no Dolby Cinema in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, or Kolkata yet. So unless you’re in one of those three cities, ScreenX or the biggest PLF screen near you is your real-world best option.
Quick Tips Before You Book
Go 3D only in ScreenX or a premium hall — regular 3D screens dim the picture, and this film’s daylight New York scenes deserve brightness.
