Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is moving forward at the box office, though at a very slow pace. The film had a promising first weekend, but its earnings have been declining since Sunday. On its opening day, the movie earned ₹9.25 crore, and by Sunday, the business had dropped to ₹7.75 crore. Since Monday, the downward trend in collections has continued.
‘SSKTK’ Box Office Collection Continues to Drop
On Monday, the film managed to earn only ₹3.25 crore, and the figure dropped further to just ₹3 crore on Tuesday. Does this mean Varun and Janhvi’s film has reached the end of its run? Not yet — trade experts believe the film may see some growth again over the coming weekend.
Reportedly, the movie was made on a budget of around ₹80 crore, and it is still far from recovering its cost. The big question now is how long it will take Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari to break even and enter the profit zone.

Crushed by ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’
While Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is struggling to recover its budget, Kantara: Chapter 1 has already entered the profit zone within just its first three days. The Rishab Shetty-starrer has crossed the ₹400 crore mark worldwide, setting the box office on fire.
In comparison, SSKTK, a romantic comedy-drama that was heavily promoted before release, has failed to deliver the expected magic at the ticket counters. In an attempt to boost its business, the makers even introduced a “Buy One Get One Free” ticket offer recently — but the response still remains lukewarm.
