Jurassic World Rebirth vs Metro in Dino Box Office

Hollywood films continue to dominate the Indian box office this week. Released on July 4, Jurassic World Rebirth has managed to attract Indian audiences to theatres, while the Bollywood multi-starrer Metro In Dino had a slow start and its pace weakened by midweek. Meanwhile, Aamir Khan’s Sitare Zameen Par is going through ups and downs in its third week. Let’s take a look at how each film performed in terms of box office collections and audience response.

Jurassic World Rebirth Roars Loud at the Box Office

Part of a popular Hollywood franchise, Jurassic World Rebirth opened with a bang in India. It earned ₹9.25 crore on its first day. The film saw a strong jump over the weekend, collecting ₹13.5 crore on Saturday and ₹16.5 crore on Sunday. Although there was a slight dip during the weekdays, the film’s performance remained solid. On Wednesday, it collected ₹3.15 crore, taking its total earnings to ₹50.87 crore so far.

Metro In Dino Struggles at the Box Office

Bollywood’s Metro In Dino failed to meet expectations. The film opened with a modest ₹3.5 crore on its first day. While there was some improvement over the weekend with ₹6 crore on Saturday and ₹7.25 crore on Sunday, the film’s pace slowed significantly during the week. By Wednesday, its total collection stood at ₹24.50 crore. Considering its multi-starrer tag, the performance is considered average. On Wednesday alone, the film earned just ₹2.25 crore.

Sitare Zameen Par Maintains Its Hold

Aamir Khan’s Sitare Zameen Par, which released on June 20, is still holding its ground in theatres. The film made a grand total of ₹88.9 crore in its first week. In its second week, it collected ₹46.5 crore. While the third week saw a dip in earnings, the film still brought in ₹1.85 crore on Tuesday and ₹1.25 crore on Wednesday. With another ₹1.25 crore on Wednesday, its total box office collection has now reached ₹153.25 crore.

    F1 Continues to Impress

The Hollywood sports drama F1, released on June 27, is still going strong in India. It earned ₹35.5 crore in its first week. Even during the weekdays, its collections remained steady, with ₹2.75 crore on Tuesday and ₹2.45 crore on Wednesday. So far, the film has managed to collect ₹58.38 crore in India.

In summary, Hollywood films continue to outperform Bollywood at the box office, with Jurassic World Rebirth and F1 leading the charge, while Metro In Dino struggles to live up to expectations.
