The Legend of Hanuman Season 7 Review: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
Season 7 has a fresh, interesting premise that takes the story beyond the war. The time-spanning quest is exciting on paper, but the season’s success depends on how well it balances spectacle, character, and the bond between Hanuman and Lord Ram.

Indian animation has had a good run in recent years, and The Legend of Hanuman is one of the shows leading that charge. Now it returns for a seventh season on JioHotstar, and this time the story takes a bold step away from the usual battlefield. Instead of staying in Lanka, Hanuman sets out on a quest that could decide Ravan’s fate.
The war in Lanka has reached a critical stage. Ravan has become very difficult to defeat, and the vanara army is struggling against his power. With few options left, Hanuman decides to find the Yam Mrityu Baan, a special weapon linked to Yamraj that could finally give the army a way to bring down the demon king.
If you want to know more about when and where to watch, our guide to the Season 7 release date explains how Hanuman goes looking for the death arrow that can stop Ravan.
The search takes Hanuman far beyond the war. He travels through different points in time, discovers forgotten parts of Lord Ram’s past, and even heads toward the kingdom of death. Along the way, he comes across a secret that gives him a new understanding of who he really is and how powerful he can become.
That is a smart change of pace. Many viewers already know the main story of the war, so a quest that goes into new ground feels fresh. It also lets the series show off more of its mythological world instead of keeping every scene on the battlefield.
The premise mixes several things that fans of the show enjoy: action, faith, friendship, and self-discovery. The threat of Ravan keeps the main conflict alive at all times, which adds a sense of urgency to every step Hanuman takes. The big question hanging over the season is simple: can Hanuman find the weapon in time, and can he understand the full extent of his divine power before the battle ends?
Giving Hanuman a personal journey also adds emotional weight. A hero who is learning more about himself while fighting for others is easier to care about than one who only swings a mace.
Season 6 followed Hanuman’s search for the Sanjeevani Booti to save the injured Lakshman. The show has built a strong audience, which proves that people love seeing Indian mythology told through animation. But popularity doesn’t guarantee that every season will be equally gripping, and it is fair to ask whether the show can keep surprising us.
Season 7 gives a good answer on paper. The time-spanning adventure is a promising change of direction, and the big mythological setting has plenty of room to impress. Still, the season will only work if it balances three things well: eye-catching visuals, real character growth, and the close bond between Hanuman and Lord Ram. If one of those slips, the whole story can lose its pull.
The Legend of Hanuman Season 7 has the right idea and a bold new direction. It doesn’t just repeat the same war story, and that alone makes it worth watching. Whether it truly delivers will depend on the execution, but the setup is strong enough to keep fans curious.
