Recently, countries like the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Canada, Singapore, and Iran have banned flights from India. Other than these countries, the United States has issued a travel advisory for travelers who are flying in and out of India, even asking people to cancel their flights immediately if they are planning to take off for India by considering the current situation in the country, even though if the passengers are fully vaccinated, still they are at a high risk of getting infected.

According to some latest reports, new restrictions will be imposed regarding traveling to the Maldives by the Ministry of Tourism. And the Ministry of Tourism took no time to put up a tweet on Sunday regarding the suspension of tourists from India at inhabited islands.

“With effect from 27 April, @HPA_mv suspends tourists traveling from #India to #Maldives from staying at tourist facilities in inhabited islands. We thank you for the support in our endeavor to make tourism safest possible with minimum inconvenience.”

After the legal announcement, social media, especially Twitter was filled with numerous memes and jokes on Bollywood celebrities, as a few young celebs like Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor, Disha Patani, Janhvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor were spotted in the Maldives to spend a quality vacation at a time like this when the whole nation is battling against the virus and they even posted their iconic pictures on social media.

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is among them who stepped forward to share his thoughts upon this. When he was asked what he thinks about stars posting vacation pictures during an interview, he said, “These young celebrities are posting their pictures and vacating in such places at a time like this when the whole nation is suffering…. Logo ke pass khana nahi hai aur app paise phenk rahe ho. Kuch Toh Sharm Karo (People do not have money for a meal and you are throwing away your money like this, have some shame please).”

The agitated actor didn’t stop there, he also says that the celebs are posting their vacation pictures because they have nothing else to do or talk about. “What else will they talk about? Acting? They will run out of steam in two minutes. In logon ne Maldives ko tamasha bana rakha hai. I don’t know what their arrangement is with the tourism industry. But for the sake of humanity, please keep these vacations to yourself. There is suffering everywhere. The cases of Covid are multiplying. Have a heart. Please don’t taunt those who are suffering,”
