To make this special time even better, we have some easy and healthy Satvik recipes you can try at home. These dishes are made with simple ingredients that give you lots of nutrition and help with digestion and weight management, making it easier to keep the fasts during the 9 days. Let’s take a look at these easy recipes.

7 Delicious Dishes to Eat While Fasting in Navratri

    Sabudana Khichdi

This is a popular fasting dish made with soaked sabudana (sago pearls), boiled potatoes, and peanuts. Heat 1 teaspoon of ghee and fry cumin seeds, peanuts, and green chilies. Add the soaked sabudana and mix well. Season with sendha namak (rock salt).

    Singhare Ke Aloo

This is a simple dish made with boiled and mashed water chestnuts and potatoes. Add ginger, green chilies, cumin, and black pepper to taste, and bind the mixture with singhare ka atta (water chestnut flour). Shape them into small patties and shallow fry or bake until crispy. Serve with green chutney.

    Methi Thepla

A traditional Gujarati dish, Methi Thepla is made with whole wheat flour and fenugreek leaves. Serve it with yogurt or pickle for a delicious and filling meal, perfect during fasting.

    Palak Chaat

Make a healthy version of chaat by using baked or roasted spinach leaves. Top them with yogurt, tamarind chutney, and spices for a crunchy, tangy snack that’s guilt-free.
