Bollywood has already made an impression on us with its recently released films, giving us optimism for a great year to come. Netflix, fortunately, has also gotten on board. It contains a wide selection of excellent films that have already been released and that will be this year. Additionally, it gives you the chance to watch theatrical releases that you might have missed from the comfort of your home.

New Hindi Thriller Movies on Netflix

Finding a good thriller to binge has gotten difficult because there are so many new films coming out every week. As a result, we’ve put together a list of new thriller films that were released in 2023. The list contains thriller films from Hollywood and the South in addition to Bollywood. So here is the list of New Hindi Thriller Movies on Netflix in 2023.

10 New Hindi Thriller Movies on Netflix in 2023

    1. Mission Majnu

The espionage drama Mission Majnu, directed by Shantanu Bagchi, is also on the extensive list of thriller films that will be released in 2023. The plot, which takes place in the 1970s, is about an undercover spy who works in Pakistan and is successful in revealing Pakistan’s nuclear weapons program.

However, the risky assignment reveals his true identity, forcing him to decide between his personal and professional lives. Rashmika Mandanna and Sidharth Malhotra play the two main characters in the incredibly captivating spy thriller.

    2. Michael

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vijay Sethupathi, and Sundeep Kishan play the main characters in the neo-noir action thriller Michael. The story of the 1990s-set film directed by Ranjit Jeyakodi centres on a young criminal who faces off against the son of his mentor in order to defend the woman he loves. Even though he is able to save her, Michael’s life takes an unexpected turn as he discovers a startling fact that rocks his entire universe.

    3. Pathaan

With Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan, who made a comeback after a five-year absence, has once again demonstrated his dominance at the box office. Even though the spy thriller has already made more than Rs 1000 crore worldwide, it still brings in millions of dollars on both the domestic and global film markets.

The Siddharth Anand-directed film, which is supported by YRF, also stars John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in significant parts. However, Salman Khan’s lengthy presence is what makes the thriller film stand out.

    4. Lost

In the suspenseful thriller Lost by director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, starlet Yami Gautam joined up with seasoned actors Pankaj Kapur, Rahul Khanna, and Neil Bhoopalam after starring in hits like A Thursday and Dasavi.

The story film centres on a criminal reporter who, while investigating a story about the abrupt disappearance of a theatre activist, stumbles across a brand-new world of politics, love, and betrayal. You’ll be engrossed in the screen till the very end with this gripping drama, it’s guaranteed.

    5. Thunivu

With Thunivu, actor Ajith Kumar continued his lengthy streak of success. The very engrossing bank robbery movie, directed by H. Vinoth, centres on a mysterious figure (Dark Devil) who foils a risky gang’s scheme with his own. The strange man discloses his genuine motivations and the reason why he is robbing the bank as the plot thickens. Thunivu is a suspenseful thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

    6. Police vs. the Underworld: Mumbai Mafia

While Mumbai is a city of dreams, it was also a city of crime in the 1980s. The same attractive streets in Mumbai were taken over by criminals and dons from the underworld, who kept them dangerous and deadly at night.

Produced by Morgan Matthews and Sophie Jones, this real crime documentary was helmed by Raaghav Darr and Francis Longhurst. It is a collection of old recordings and fictionalized depictions of how Mumbai police dealt with the city’s gang problem. It is exciting and perfect for anyone who likes crime.

    7. Cirkus

Cirkus, which will be released at the end of 2022, features Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde, and Ranveer Singh as the key characters. It is a comedy-drama that was motivated by Gulzar’s 1983 film Angoor. It is a ridiculous movie with humour woven throughout, making it a complete entertainer. Despite the films’ conflicting reviews, they are worth seeing.

    8.  An Action Hero

This action thriller serves as yet another example of Ayushmann Khurana’s versatility. The film tells the tale of a retired action hero who, after being falsely convicted of murder, finds himself in a real-life action scene.

The audience was in awe of the fresh and original storyline of the film as well as the riveting performances of the complete star cast. The film, which first appeared in theatres in December 2022, is now viewable on Netflix.

    9. Bheed

The engrossing drama Bheed portrays some of the several issues the nation encountered during the 2020 lockdown. Through the vibrant characters portrayed by Rajkumar Rao, Bhumi Pednekaar, and Pankaj Kapoor, it gently highlights the dynamism of Indian societies, particularly those in the Northeast.

The movie’s monochromatic colour design enhances the compelling plot. Despite the film’s lack of box office success, its fantastic writing makes it worth seeing!

    10. Afwaah

Afwaah, a political play directed by Sudhir Mishra, tackles a touchy subject in today’s society. It emphasizes the impact social media has on our daily lives, including politics, where things may swiftly and horrifically go wrong.

The film, which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sumit Vyaas, and Bhumi Pednekar, doesn’t hesitate to address taboo subjects. Because the film is thought-provoking, everyone should see it.
