2. Michael

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vijay Sethupathi, and Sundeep Kishan play the main characters in the neo-noir action thriller Michael. The story of the 1990s-set film directed by Ranjit Jeyakodi centres on a young criminal who faces off against the son of his mentor in order to defend the woman he loves. Even though he is able to save her, Michael’s life takes an unexpected turn as he discovers a startling fact that rocks his entire universe.

3. Pathaan

With Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan, who made a comeback after a five-year absence, has once again demonstrated his dominance at the box office. Even though the spy thriller has already made more than Rs 1000 crore worldwide, it still brings in millions of dollars on both the domestic and global film markets.

5. Thunivu

With Thunivu, actor Ajith Kumar continued his lengthy streak of success. The very engrossing bank robbery movie, directed by H. Vinoth, centres on a mysterious figure (Dark Devil) who foils a risky gang’s scheme with his own. The strange man discloses his genuine motivations and the reason why he is robbing the bank as the plot thickens. Thunivu is a suspenseful thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

6. Police vs. the Underworld: Mumbai Mafia 

While Mumbai is a city of dreams, it was also a city of crime in the 1980s. The same attractive streets in Mumbai were taken over by criminals and dons from the underworld, who kept them dangerous and deadly at night. 

Produced by Morgan Matthews and Sophie Jones, this real crime documentary was helmed by Raaghav Darr and Francis Longhurst. It is a collection of old recordings and fictionalized depictions of how Mumbai police dealt with the city’s gang problem. It is exciting and perfect for anyone who likes crime.

7. Cirkus 

Cirkus, which will be released at the end of 2022, features Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde, and Ranveer Singh as the key characters. It is a comedy-drama that was motivated by Gulzar’s 1983 film Angoor. It is a ridiculous movie with humour woven throughout, making it a complete entertainer. Despite the films’ conflicting reviews, they are worth seeing.

8.  An Action Hero 

This action thriller serves as yet another example of Ayushmann Khurana’s versatility. The film tells the tale of a retired action hero who, after being falsely convicted of murder, finds himself in a real-life action scene. 

The audience was in awe of the fresh and original storyline of the film as well as the riveting performances of the complete star cast. The film, which first appeared in theatres in December 2022, is now viewable on Netflix.

9. Bheed
