Jason Statham is back with yet another action packed thriller. His upcoming film Mutiny is set to hit US theatres on August 21, 2026.
The film comes from director Jean-François Richet, well known for his work in action and thriller films, with Lindsay Michel and J. P. Davis handling the screenplay.
Mutiny was originally supposed to release on January 9, 2026, but that date ended up getting pushed back. Lionsgate will handle the release in the United States, while Sky Cinema takes care of audiences in the United Kingdom.
What is Mutiny about?
Mutiny follows Cole Reed, a former Marine whose life gets turned upside down after he is framed for a crime he never committed. With his freedom and his reputation on the line, Reed decides to stop waiting around and take matters into his own hands.
He sets out to track down the people who set him up, and that search pulls him into a genuinely dangerous world where he has to uncover the truth while staying one step ahead of everyone trying to stop him.

The project also marks a notable step for Statham behind the scenes. His newly launched production company, Punch Palace Productions, is producing the film alongside MadRiver Pictures.

When did filming begin?
Principal photography on Mutiny kicked off in September 2024 in the United Kingdom, with several locations used throughout the shoot, including London’s Canary Wharf.
The production actually had to temporarily restrict access around the entrance to One Canada Square while filming was underway there. Additional scenes were later shot in Malta.
Filming wrapped up on November 25, 2024.
Composer Marcus Trumpp has scored the film, adding another layer to its action thriller atmosphere.
