On 4th March 2022, Reliance industries released a press release where it announced the opening of the Jio World Centre in Mumbai.
The media release quoted that this will be a “first-of-a-kind global destination”. Moreover, the Jio World Centre will be India’s largest and most prestigious multifaceted destination.
Jio World Centre In Mumbai
Reliance aims to make Jio World Centre a centre for business, commerce and culture. Not only this, but Reliance wants this Centre to be a world-class landmark in India.
Moreover, Mrs Nita Ambani visualized this project. As we all know that she is not only the DIrector of Reliance Industries but also the Founder-chairman of Reliance Foundation.
Mrs Nita Ambani said, “Jio World Centre is a tribute to our glorious nation and a reflection of the aspirations of New India.”
Additionally, the media release stated that the opening of the Jio World Centre will be done in phases. Therefore, it is estimated that the opening will be completed by the next year.
Features Of Jio World Centre
The Jio World Centre will spread over 18.5 acres of land in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla complex. And the main attraction of this centre will be a musical fountain, a few very fine diners, cafes and restaurants.
Apart from this, the centre will also give an upscale retail experience, serviced apartments. Additionally, it will also have a state of art convention facility.
The Jio World Convention Centre will have three exhibition halls. Moreover, these halls will spread over 161460 sq. ft and is expected to accommodate more than 16,500 guests.
Additionally, there will also be two convention halls that accommodate more than 10,600 guests. Also, there will be a huge ballroom where more than 3200 guests can fill in.
Moreover, you can get access to the 5G network here in Jio World Centre. Here you can also see one of the largest kitchens and India’s largest on-site parking with capacity of 5,000 cars.
Dhirubhai Ambani Square
Dhirubhai Ambani square is another new landmark in Mumbai that will amaze you. Along with the news of Jio World Centre, Reliance also revealed about this Square.
Dhirubhai Ambani Square is a part of the Fountain of Joy project. If you don’t know what Fountain of Joy is, it is a series of fountain shows, decorated with lights and music.
Furthermore, these fountains are symbolic of India and its culture. There are around 390 water jets, over 600 LEDs and many more displays.
An important fact about the Square is that it will be a dedication to both Shri Dhirubhai Ambai, the founder of Reliance and Mumbai.
Additionally, this square will be near the Fountain of Joy. This is a series of fountain shows, lights and music.
This square will be open to the public and will also have free entry. Moreover, reliance also aims to make Dhirubhai Ambani Square a tourist spot.
Furthermore, there will be evening shows conducted here every day.
