Naa Saami Ranga Telugu Movie Review: Nagarjuna Goes Rowdy in This Action Love Story

“Naa Saami Ranga” is a riveting Indian Telugu-language period action drama that brings to life the intricate tale of friendship, love, and revenge. Directed by Vijay Binni and based on the original story by Joshiy with dialogues penned by Prasanna Kumar Bezawada, the film stands as an official remake of the acclaimed 2019 Malayalam movie “Porinju Mariam Jose.”

The stellar cast, featuring Nagarjuna, Allari Naresh, Raj Tarun, Ashika Ranganath, and Shabeer Kallarakkal, breathes life into their characters, creating a captivating narrative against the scenic backdrop of a countryside village. The storyline revolves around the lives of three central characters – Kishtaiah, an imposing rowdy portrayed by Nagarjuna; Anji, the younger brother of Kishtaiah, played by Allari Naresh; and Bhaskar, the younger brother of Kishtaiah, portrayed by Raj Tarun.

Nagarjuna’s portrayal of Kishtaiah is a standout, delivering a performance that captures the essence of the character’s rugged charm and intensity. Ashika Ranganath, as Varalakshmi or “Varalu,” adds depth to the narrative as the love interest of Kishtaiah. Allari Naresh as Anji and Raj Tarun as Bhaskar bring dynamic energy to the screen, complemented by the delightful performances of Mirnaa Menon as Manga and Rukshar Dhillon as Kumari.

The film’s original soundtrack, composed by the legendary M. M. Keeravani, seamlessly enhances the storytelling, adding emotional layers to the gripping narrative. The music resonates with the rustic charm of the village setting, perfectly syncing with the film’s thematic elements.

Set against the vibrant tapestry of a countryside village, the story unfolds with layers of complexity, exploring the intricacies of friendship, the nuances of love, and the relentless pursuit of revenge. The interactions between the characters are filled with raw emotions, creating a rollercoaster of experiences for the audience.

The director, Vijay Binni, deserves accolades for successfully adapting and presenting this tale with finesse, maintaining a balance between action, drama, and emotion. The screenplay, coupled with Prasanna Kumar Bezawada’s dialogues, keeps the audience engaged throughout, making it a compelling viewing experience.

“Naa Saami Ranga” pays homage to the original while adding its own unique touch, making it a must-watch for fans of gripping period dramas. The film not only entertains but also explores the timeless themes of loyalty, love, and vengeance in a way that resonates with audiences. Overall, it stands as a testament to the creative prowess of the cast and crew, offering a cinematic experience that lingers in the minds of viewers long after the credits roll.
