The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has issued an advisory for all driving licence holders and registered vehicle owners.
The ministry is sending messages to licence holders and vehicle owners, requesting them to update their mobile numbers on the Sarathi portal. This means there is no need to visit the RTO office for the update.
An online service has been launched to update mobile numbers. For this, users can visit the official portal parivahan.gov.in, where two links will be available. By filling in the required details, the process can be completed easily.

To update, first go to parivahan.gov.in and select the option to update mobile number through Aadhaar. Then enter the vehicle’s registration number, chassis number, and engine number. You will also need to provide the registration date and validity. After entering the verification code, the process will be completed.
On the Sarathi portal, options such as Validate, Reset, and Application Status will also be available. Another option is through Saathi. By scanning it, a page will open where you will need to provide vehicle-related information. First, the DL number will be required, followed by date of birth, state, and captcha before submitting the form.
