IRCTC Opens New World-Class Executive Lounge At NDLS: Lounge Charges, Facilities Provided, and Much More

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) opened a new world-class executive lounge at New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS). Clearly, the main objective of this facility is to offer an improved travel experience to passengers.

The new lounge is set up on the first floor of Platform No. 1. However, its main purpose is to provide absolute experience and comfort to passengers throughout their train journey. According to Anand Kumar Jha (IRCTC PRO), “All the required facilities and services will be given to the passengers including comfortable wait during pre-departures and post arrivals.”

Facilities Offered by IRCTC in Executive Lounge

“The design of the lounge is the same as of airport lounges and with full security. The area is spacious and has a serene environment.”

Also, the passengers will also get numerous offers apart from environments like a wide range of complementary and paid services such as train information display, multi-cuisine buffets, various types of beverages, TV, channel music, free Wi-Fi, and much more.

Special resting and waiting areas are also offered including recliners, spacious luggage racks, restrooms, newspapers, shoe shiners, and magazines on display. Apart from all these luxurious facilities, passengers can also find a fully operational business center with a printer, computer, Photostat, and faxing facility.

How Much Amount Should the Passengers Pay?

For the first hour, the passengers have to pay Rs. 150 plus taxes and Rs. 99 for each extra hour to experience the facilities. This newly build lounge is now a 24X7 facility for the passengers. Also, separate bath facilities for ladies and gents will be available at a price of Rs. 200 plus taxes.

The main objective of such a facility is to offer a clean and hygienic wash and change experience to the passengers. A safe and comfortable environment is the top-most priority of IRCTC. The charges of bath facilities include high-quality toiletries including laundered towels, shower caps, soap, dental kits, and shampoo.

IRCTC did not compromise in the variety of food. Both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are in the form of Buffets ranging from Rs. 250 to Rs. 385 per person. IRCTC also offers an all-inclusive package including two hours stay, wash and change facility, and buffet meal at a price of Rs. 600 plus taxes.

Apart from New Delhi, IRCTC is also operating executive lounges at Madurai, Agra, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Sealdah. IRCTC is planning to build more executive lounges in all important cities and state capital stations in the coming future.
