Explained- How You can Do MBA from Delhi University without clearing CAT

An MBA degree is often seen as a gateway to a successful career with attractive salaries in the corporate sector. However, aspiring candidates face significant challenges, particularly the Common Admission Test (CAT) and the high tuition fees associated with prestigious institutes like the IIMs. Fortunately, there is an alternative route for those looking to pursue an MBA without taking the CAT.

The University of Delhi provides such an opportunity. Admissions are currently open for the MBA program at the School of Open Learning (SOL), Delhi University, with the registration deadline having been September 30.

To apply for the MBA program at SOL, candidates must register on the official website, https://sol.du.ac.in/. Further details about admissions and the course can also be found on this site. The registration fee is Rs 250 for General/OBC Non-Creamy Layer/EWS categories and Rs 100 for SC/ST/Divyang categories.

DU Admission 2024: Eligibility and Admission Process for MBA

To qualify for admission to the MBA program, candidates must achieve at least 50% marks in their undergraduate degree. Admission is determined based on merit, with the following criteria:

    1. Graduation Marks: 80% weightage
    2. Professional Work Experience: 20% weightage

    DU Admission 2024: MBA Fees

The annual fee for the online MBA course at SOL, Delhi University, is Rs 52,570. This fee includes tuition, the University’s student welfare fund, and other charges.

In 2022, the University of Delhi established the Department of Distance and Continuing Education (DDCE), the Faculty of Open Learning, and the Open Learning Development Centre (OLDC) under the Campus of Open Learning/School of Open Learning umbrella.

The MBA is a postgraduate degree focused on developing the skills necessary for effective leadership in business. MBA programs typically cover a wide range of subjects, including accounting, finance, marketing, management, and operations. Graduates with an MBA are highly valued by employers and can access a variety of lucrative and fulfilling career opportunities.

    Course Level: Post Graduation
    Duration: 2 years
Entrance Exams: CAT, MAT, XAT, and others

    MBA Course Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility requirements for MBA programs in India vary by institution and program type, but most programs require the following:

    1. A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university
    2. A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the bachelor’s degree
    3. A valid score in CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT

Some MBA programs may also have additional requirements, such as relevant work experience or a specific undergraduate degree.
