Does Your Body Overheat in Summer? Add These Foods to Your Diet Now

In India, summer can be very hot and uncomfortable. Many people feel tired, sweaty, or dizzy during the hot days. Sometimes, the body gets overheated, which may cause problems like dehydration, heatstroke, and skin rashes. But the good news is – you can stay cool by eating the right foods.

Here are some healthy and cooling foods that you can add to your diet this summer:

    1. Cucumber

Cucumber is full of water and keeps your body cool. It also helps with digestion and keeps your skin fresh. You can eat it in salads or as a snack.

    2. Watermelon

Watermelon is one of the best fruits for summer. It is juicy, sweet, and has a lot of water content. It prevents dehydration and gives instant energy.

    3. Coconut Water

Coconut water is nature’s best drink for the heat. It is full of minerals and keeps the body hydrated. It also helps in reducing body heat naturally.

    4. Buttermilk (Chaas)

A traditional Indian drink, buttermilk is made from curd. It cools the body and also helps improve digestion. Add a little salt, jeera powder, or mint leaves for extra taste.

    5. Mint (Pudina)

Mint has a cooling effect on the body. You can add mint leaves to your water, chutneys, or make refreshing mint lemonade at home.

    7. Sabja Seeds (Basil Seeds)

Sabja seeds soak up water and swell. They are often used in drinks like falooda. These seeds help cool the stomach and reduce body heat.

    8. Green Leafy Vegetables

Vegetables like spinach, lettuce, and amaranth are light and full of water. Eat them boiled, in salads, or as curries to stay cool.

    Extra Tips to Stay Cool:

    • Drink plenty of water during the day.
    • Avoid spicy, fried, and oily food.
    • Wear loose cotton clothes.
    • Stay in the shade and avoid going out during peak afternoon heat.

By including these foods in your daily meals, you can protect your body from excess heat and enjoy a healthy summer season!
