Ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched the ‘Mahila Samman Yojana’, a welfare initiative offering Delhi women Rs 1000 monthly. He further promised that if the AAP wins the 2025 elections, this amount will increase to Rs 2100 per month.
Kejriwal clarified that while the scheme’s benefits won’t be immediately available, they will be accessible once the AAP government is formed.
Eligibility Criteria for the Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana:
- The woman must be a registered voter in Delhi.
- The woman’s annual income should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.
- The woman must be between 18 and 60 years old (those over 60 are eligible for other pension schemes).
- Women who own a four-wheeler are not eligible.

- After verification, if your application is approved, you will be notified and become eligible for financial assistance under the scheme.
