Dead Boy Detectives Plot

Edwin Payne died tragically at his boarding school in 1916, only to find himself in Hell, haunted for decades by an unseen presence. However, during the Season of Mists in December 1990, Hell underwent a dramatic transformation, displacing its inhabitants. The boarding school was then overrun by the souls of former teachers and students who had escaped Hell.

Charles Rowland, the only surviving student during this upheaval, found himself under the care of a dwindling group of teachers. Rowland survived various dangers, including a murderous gang of students, thanks to Payne’s guidance. Despite their efforts, Rowland eventually died. He returned as a ghost, preferring to stay with Payne for future adventures rather than depart with Death.
