In today’s cinema era, horror and comedy movies tend to dominate the box office. When it comes to biopics or historical films, people often doubt their success. Many believe that “historical films don’t work anymore.” However, Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava has proved this notion wrong.
Climax Scene Leaves Audience Emotional
Even after 20 days in theatres, Chhaava is holding strong. The film continues to soar, setting new box office records daily. The audience has loved the storyline, and the climax scene has deeply moved many viewers. Since its release, Chhaava has been performing exceptionally well. With no major competition at the box office, the film is still making remarkable collections on its 20th day.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Chhaava earned ₹5.4 crore on Tuesday. Early trends suggest that the film might collect ₹4.55 crore on its 20th day, bringing its total box office earnings to ₹476.45 crore.

Will Chhaava Cross the ₹500 Crore Mark?
There is a strong possibility that Chhaava will surpass ₹500 crore at the domestic box office. If it does, it will become the second film under Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films banner to achieve this milestone after last year’s Stree 2. The film had collected ₹219.25 crore in its first week and ₹180.25 crore in its second week.
Cast and Story of Chhaava
Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film is an adaptation of Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel Chhaava. The story revolves around Hindu king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, his reign, the expansion of Hindavi Swarajya, and his tragic end at the hands of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Vicky Kaushal plays the role of Sambhaji Maharaj, while Rashmika Mandanna portrays Yesubai, and Akshaye Khanna plays the role of Aurangzeb.
