Almost two years after its Christmas 2024 debut, Black Doves is returning to Netflix. Season 2 premieres on Thursday, November 5, 2026, and the whole season arrives at once. It lands in a busy week, so this list of new OTT releases for November 2 to 8 is handy if you are planning.
Black Doves Season 2 Release Date and Time
The season drops at 12 a.m. PT, which is 3 a.m. ET. In the UK, where much of the story is set, that is 8 a.m. GMT. In India, it works out to about 1:30 p.m. IST. There are six episodes, the same as Season 1, so a weekend binge is easy.
What Is Season 2 About?
Helen Webb, played by Keira Knightley, still passes her country’s secrets to the Black Doves, a covert group she works for. Her life is more dangerous now because her husband, Wallace, played by Andrew Buchan, is preparing to become Prime Minister.
Her handler, Mrs Reed, played by Sarah Lancashire, is caught in a plot to weaken her place in the organisation. One outlet says Reed disappears.
Helen is then reunited with her best friend Sam, played by Ben Whishaw, a once top-level assassin who now takes low-paying jobs and spends lonely nights in Soho bars.
Together they chase answers across London and Paris, and Netflix says loyalties turn into weapons and trust breaks apart.

Sylvia Hoeks, Samuel Barnett and Goran Kostic also join, though their roles are not described. Ceesay’s character looks like the likeliest troublemaker, but that is only a guess from Netflix’s wording.
Why Fans Are Excited
Season 1 was one of Netflix’s big holiday hits and, as reported, earned a 92 percent Rotten Tomatoes score. Much of that came from the chemistry between Knightley and Whishaw. They were kept apart for much of the first season, so their reunion is a welcome change. The writer of one preview also calls it one of the few Netflix spy shows still standing.
Is There a Black Doves Season 3?
Netflix has not confirmed one. With Season 2 not yet out, the platform will probably wait to see how audiences respond.
More to Watch This Week
Black Doves shares the week with other releases. Blind Game on ZEE5 brings a Hindi thriller with Arjun Rampal and Priyamani. Dilwali Diwali is a warm family film on Netflix, and Nooru Kodi Vaanavil is a Tamil romance on ZEE5.
Should You Watch It?
If you loved Season 1, this looks like a strong return with higher stakes. New viewers should start from the first season so the relationships make sense.
Black Doves Season 2 premieres on Netflix on November 5, 2026.
