Aghathiyaa Review: A Thrilling Time-Travel Mystery with Horror and Comedy

Pa. Vijay’s Aghathiyaa is a unique blend of horror, mystery, action, and comedy, set against the intriguing backdrop of 1940s Pondicherry. The film takes audiences on an unexpected time-travel adventure, as a struggling art director stumbles upon an ancient camera that unravels deep secrets from the past.

Jiiva delivers a compelling performance as Aghathiyan, a man torn between caring for his ailing mother and navigating a terrifying mystery. Raashii Khanna plays Veena, his supportive yet equally trapped fiancée, bringing warmth and charm to the film. Arjun Sarja’s presence as Siddharthan adds intensity to the storyline, while Edward Sonnenblick, Yogi Babu, and Redin Kingsley provide moments of humour that balance out the eerie suspense.

Aghathiyaa is not just a horror thriller—it’s a rollercoaster of emotions, mystery, and supernatural chills, packed with engaging performances, thrilling moments, and unexpected twists. It is a must-watch for those who love unique, genre-blending films with a gripping story and strong visual appeal.
