Abhishek Bachchan’s ‘I Want To Talk’ Struggles at the Box Office: Fails to Earn Even ₹2 Crore in 3 Days Despite a ₹40 Crore Budget

Category-

Abhishek Bachchan has been working in Bollywood for the past 20 years and needs no introduction. His father, Amitabh Bachchan, is regarded as one of the greatest actors of all time. Following in his father’s footsteps, Abhishek also chose a career in films but couldn’t replicate the same level of success. However, he has managed to carve a niche for himself. Despite his talent, he struggled for good roles for a long time. But in recent years, especially with the rise of OTT platforms, his talent has finally been recognized, and he has proven his mettle.

Abhishek is now being offered challenging roles, which he is willingly accepting. His latest film, I Want To Talk, was recently released, where he plays a unique and demanding character. Abhishek took up this challenge and gave his best, but the audience’s verdict will decide if it was worth it. It has been three days since the film’s release. Let’s look at how much it has earned so far.

Box Office Collection in 3 Days

I Want To Talk hasn’t managed to attract much audience to the theatres. Abhishek Bachchan actively promoted the film, and even Amitabh Bachchan supported its promotions. However, despite the efforts, the film has struggled to draw viewers. The movie couldn’t cross ₹1 crore on any of the three days. On its opening day, it earned ₹25 lakh, followed by ₹55 lakh on the second day and ₹50 lakh on the third day. This brings the total three-day collection to ₹1.30 crore.

Will the Film Flop?

The budget of I Want To Talk was around ₹40 crore. For any movie, the first week’s collection is crucial, but this film has failed to make an impact in its initial three days, which is not a positive sign. Moreover, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 is set to release in 10 days, which will likely dominate theatres and leave little room for other films to perform. Considering the current response, it seems likely that I Want To Talk might flop at the box office.
