WhatsApp has announced that a few updates will be arriving on the platform soon in 2022. These new features will include the facility of adding rich link previews to the stories and leaving unwanted groups without notifying anyone or creating a scene.
Rich Link Previews:
This is Whatsapp’s attempt at enhancing the viewing outlook when uploading a link to the story. Currently, when a person shares a link on their story, only the URL from that particular link is visible to the others. But now, with the upcoming feature, WhatsApp will add the featured image and a meta description from the URL to the link you will share in your stories.

This new feature will create a positive impact on the overall interface of the app. Now, with the featured image and a short and crisp description alongside, it will become easier for others to identify what a person is sharing in their story. One will have the ability to know the topic beforehand before clicking on the click.

Leaving Groups Privately:
Reports have emerged to show that WhatsApp is currently working on updates that allow the users to leave unwanted groups without notifying all the members. Right now, WhatsApp puts out a notification in the groups if a member decides to bid his farewell to a group.
However, users have repeatedly complained that they wanted the ability to leave the groups without everybody taking notice of their actions. Finally, WhatsApp has listened to the users and will soon add an update for the same.
Reportedly only group admins will be notified if someone exits a group.
