Heist films are fun because things rarely go to plan. Collision Course, a new Spanish thriller from Netflix, starts with that idea and adds a car crash and a lot of secrets. The film premieres worldwide on October 30, 2026.
Collision Course Release Date and Where to Watch
Collision Course streams only on Netflix from October 30. The release is global, and an official trailer is already out. Its original Spanish title is Cruzados.
What Is the Story About?
The film is set in Madrid in 2013, at the height of the economic crisis. A group of robbers storms a bank, and at first it looks like just another robbery. Then a crash during the getaway complicates the escape, and the whole plan starts to fall apart.
As more is revealed about the people involved, the robbery turns out to be tied to lies and betrayals that began long before they entered the bank. Netflix describes it as a game of deception, fear and survival, where every decision matters and every gesture hides something. According to the synopsis, everyone is trying to escape from more than just prison.
Getting away with the money is hard enough. It gets harder when the people next to you have things to hide.

Six actors are named as the main cast.

Jorge Cabrera, Alba Fontecha, Ismael Martinez and Imma Sancho also appear. This is Laia Costa’s first Netflix project, and Netflix viewers can already find her romantic drama Duck Butter on the platform. Karra Elejalde also stars in the upcoming Netflix Spanish drama The Child. For a film with many characters and secrets, a cast this experienced is a good sign.
Who Made It?
Daniel Sanchez Arevalo directed the film and co-wrote it with Ramon Campos, who is also an executive producer. Arevalo is known for Dark Blue Almost Black and Seventeen. This is his first thriller, so he is stepping outside his usual style.
Campos’s company, Bambu Producciones, produced the film. It is a leading European studio behind Cable Girls, Cocaine Coast, and The Asunta Case, and one source also credits it with A Widow’s Game.

Why the Setting Matters
Placing a robbery in the middle of the 2013 financial crisis gives the story extra weight. Money worries and fear were part of daily life then, so a bank is a pointed target. It also makes the robbers easier to understand, even if they are not easy to trust.
Should You Watch It?
If you like crime stories with many people and many hidden motives, this looks like a good fit. Spanish thrillers on Netflix have a strong record, and this one has a proven production team behind it. It is also a good pick if you want something tense without committing to a long series.
If you are building a watchlist for the weeks ahead, there are other crime and romance options. Nocturne on Apple TV is a new crime thriller. And for something lighter, Drive: The Pretenders on Prime Video mixes a fake engagement with a racing scandal.
Collision Course premieres worldwide on Netflix on October 30, 2026.
