The Delhi Government has issued a lockdown notice for the period of the next six days starting from 19th April 2021 from 10:00 PM till the next Monday, 26th of April 2021 till 05:00 AM.

    Lockdown in Delhi

Now, this lockdown has been placed in lieu of the increasing cases of Covid in Delhi. In the past few weeks, the lost terror of the coronavirus is back at its peak with the increasing number of Covid positive individuals and rise in the number of deaths.

The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal addressed a press conference on the same matter with these words ” “I always say all of Delhi is like a family. Even now we will face it together. We have won earlier, we will win again,”

He also mentioned that there is a shortage of vaccination and that he’s working at the full potential that this gap is fulfilled at the earliest.

Additionally, there has been a rise in the number of migrants leaving Delhi and heading back to their hometowns. This is why Kejriwal requested the citizens to not leave Delhi as this is a small lockdown taken as a preventive measure only and will not turn into a big one, like before.

The situation in Delhi is alarming and this lockdown decision can not be criticized, no matter how people look at it. The reason being that in the last 24 hours, there have been 2,73,810 new coronavirus cases and 1,619 deaths registered.

The PM Modi is also supposed to address the same issues soon and we’ll be getting a clearer picture as to what is to be done next.

But for now, all we can do is that wait for the new SOP and wish that nobody in our surroundings gets affected by the Virus.

Also, take care of yourself and keep the washing and maintaining the hygiene levels up to a standard so that Corona might possibly not get you.
