Domestic airlines, including Air India, have launched special Diwali flight sales, offering discounted airfares for the 2024 festive season. Full-service airlines are now providing competitive pricing to attract passengers from low-cost carriers. According to a report by PTI, citing data from travel portal Ixigo, average domestic airfares on several routes have dropped by around 20 to 25 per cent this Diwali compared to last year.
The reduction in airfare is attributed to increased airline capacity and recent declines in oil prices.
Air India Offers
Air India, a full-service carrier, has announced special fares for Diwali. According to the airline’s website, one-way flights to and from Singapore start at ₹7,445, with bookings available between October 8 and 14. This offer covers travel between October 8 and November 30.
For international passengers flying to and from Singapore, Air India is offering tickets for as low as S$500 (approximately ₹32,231) until October 14. The offer applies for travel until March 20, 2025. Special fares are also available for Riyadh and Jeddah, with tickets priced as low as ₹32,611. Travellers can book until November 17 for journeys until March 20, 2025. Discounts include 10 per cent off in business class and 5 per cent off in economy class from Delhi and Mumbai airports.
Additionally, Air India is providing a ₹200 instant discount on one-way domestic flights, valid until November 30. Other offers include savings through EMI payments, Net Banking, and UPI, alongside regular bank-linked discounts.

Vistara Offers
Vistara has no visible offers on its website, as the airline is set to stop operations in November due to its merger with Air India. From September 3, 2024, ticket sales for select routes have gradually transitioned to Air India.
Indigo Offers
Indigo’s latest deal, which ran until September 30, offered fares as low as ₹1,111. Currently, Indigo is providing up to 10 per cent off on direct bookings through its website and app, along with other bank-related and cashback offers.
International Airlines
Qatar Airways is offering up to 25 per cent off on business class and 20 per cent off on economy class tickets for the Diwali season, as per the airline’s website.
