JEE-Mains Will Be Conducted Four Times in 2021: Education Minister

During the pandemic, the education system has suffered heavily and in the meantime, the governmental bodies are trying their best to get it back on track. There are a ton of countermeasure which have been taken like implementing hybrid classes, cases of no summer break and more.

The new update is that the JEE-Mains will be conducted a total of four times for the year 2021. Now, this time the news though is something that can make an engineering student awestruck for a moment.

The exams will start from February 2021 to May 2021, having one test conducted every month making it a total of four such tests. The announcement was made by Union Minister for Education Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ himself in an online interactive meet.

The aspirant’s wills are allowed to sit in any number of tests that they want to appear for. In case, any candidate has taken all four tests then their best score will be considered as the final one for the year 2021.ALSO READ:New National Education Policy 2020 Brings a Substantial Change

Usually, only two such exams get conducted every year but the year 2021 is a special case looking forward to the COVID-19 situation we have at hand. Moreover, the syllabus for the next year remains the same and there are no changes that have been made.

This is something of encouragement for the students who have lost seats in the pandemic and wasted their one year due to that. Now, they’ll be getting twice as many chances to take a shot at success.

It is to be noted that JEE-Mains are such prestigious exams not only because they get you a seat at IIT’s but also NIT’s and big universities like DU and more. So, they are one of the most important exams for an engineering student even if they are not preparing to go into IIT themselves.

Last year they were to be held during April-May but were canceled and postponed to be conducted between September 1st to September 6th on a nationwide scale.
