Indian cricket stalwart Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma have welcomed their second child on 15 February 2024. They have named their baby boy Akaay. The couple confirmed the news today on 20 February 2024. Kohli and Anushka also have a daughter named Vamika.
“With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay and Vamika’s little brother into this world! We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time,” Anushka Sharma posted this on her Instagram to confirm the arrival of their baby boy in the world.
Virat Kohli has taken a leave from the ongoing India vs England Test Series and it was speculated that Anushka Sharma was about to give birth to their second child. AB De Villiers, a friend of Virat Kohli confirmed a few days ago that Anushka and Kohli were about to become parents for a second time.

However, De Villiers retracted his statement and said it was a mistake on his part. But now the news has finally been confirmed by Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli themselves. The couple has not shared any photos of their son and are not expected to do so in the upcoming future. They believe that they need to shield their children from media before they are big enough to make a decision on their own about their privacy.
Virat Kohli could return to the Indian Team for the 5th Test against England which starts from 7 March 2024. On the other hand, Anushka Sharma will return to the big screen with her film Chakda Express.
