If you love mythology told through big, bold animation, a new chapter is almost here. The Legend of Hanuman Season 7 premieres on Friday, October 23, 2026, exclusively on JioHotstar. The trailer came out on October 12, and the story now moves into one of the most intense stretches of the war in Lanka.
What is Season 7 about?
By this point in the story, the battle of Lanka has reached a turning point. Ravan looks stronger than ever, while the vanara army is struggling to hold its ground. The situation is tough, and Hanuman knows that ordinary fighting will not be enough.
So he sets out on a quest to find a special weapon that can break through Ravan’s defences. The source names it the Yam Mrityu Baan, described as the death arrow of Yamraj.
The journey does not stay on the battlefield, though. Hanuman travels through different eras, uncovers secrets from Lord Ram’s past, and even makes his way to the kingdom of death.
A big part of the season also deals with Hanuman understanding his own divine powers and his Rudravatar origins. That gives the story more than just action. It also gives it a bit of self-discovery.
Who is behind the voices?
Damandeep Singh Baggan voices Hanuman. Sharad Kelkar returns as Ravan, and his deep voice has been a big part of what makes the character feel so powerful in earlier seasons. Shakti Singh is also part of the cast, along with other voice artists.
Kelkar has spoken about how meaningful it was to be part of the series, and he described the new season as a different and more ambitious chapter in Hanuman’s journey.
A bigger and wider world
Series creator Sharad Devarajan has called Season 7 one of the most ambitious chapters so far. Instead of staying only on the battlefield, the story moves across different eras and mythological worlds. That gives the animation team room to try new settings, new designs and fresh action scenes.
The show is made by Graphic India, which was co-created by Sharad Devarajan, Jeevan J. Kang and Navin John. It has become a well-known name for bringing Indian mythology to digital audiences in a modern animated style.
Where and in which languages can you watch?
The series streams on JioHotstar. It is available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Malayalam, Marathi and Kannada, so viewers across the country can enjoy it in their own language. That is a big plus for families who like to watch together.
Plenty more to watch this week
October is a busy month for OTT, so your watchlist might get long. If you like thrillers about ordinary people making bad choices, our article on the Chaar Yaar release date on Prime Video covers a story where four friends are pulled into crime after one wrong move.
And if you are in the mood for a romantic comedy, take a look at our piece on the Nobody Wants This Season 3 release date to find out when it is coming to Netflix.
Should you watch it?
If you enjoyed the earlier seasons, this one looks like a natural next step. It has a bigger scale, a personal journey for its hero, and a villain who has become stronger. It is also easy to watch with family, since the language options make it simple for everyone to follow.
We should avoid guessing at specific twists or the ending, since the trailer gives only a small glimpse. For now, the setup is exciting enough on its own.
The Legend of Hanuman Season 7 premieres on October 23, 2026, on JioHotstar.
