However, there are many hill stations in Maharashtra, such as Amboli, Mahabaleshwar etc., where you can visit before or after the rainy season.

So, except for monsoon, you should definitely visit Sikkim in other months, because the situation becomes very bad here during the rainy season. It becomes very difficult to drive on the roads during the rains. So, do not plan a trip to Sikkim during the rainy season. During monsoon, most of the time the local shops and market areas might be shutdown, therefore its better to avoid going this season.

When it comes to mountains, first of all we will talk about a beautiful place like Uttarakhand. You can complete the journey from Delhi to Uttarakhand in just a few hours. However, there are many buses, trains and cabs available too, which take you from Delhi to Uttarakhand. You just have to keep in mind that during the monsoon season, it rains continuously in many places of Uttarakhand, due to which the roads become slippery. Driving or roaming in such places during this season is not free from danger.

Actually, being a hill station, there are many places here, where during the rain, situations like falling of stones from the rocks, floods or landslides arise.

But for your information, let us tell you that during the rainy season, the view here becomes very scary. Flood-like situation arises in many places of Kerala and here you can see continuous rain for three to four days. So if you are planning to visit Kerala, then do it between September and March.
