Paris Olympics 2024 Day 13 (August 8) India Full Schedule: Neeraj Chopra Aims for Gold; Hockey Team Competes for Bronze

After a tough day in wrestling, where Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from the gold medal match, other Indian wrestlers will return to action.

Day 13 is crucial for India at the Paris Olympics as Tokyo Olympics gold-medalist Neeraj Chopra competes in the men’s javelin throw final. Chopra qualified with a massive throw of 89.34m on his first attempt, his season-best, leading the qualification round. He has the chance to become only the fifth man in Olympic history to defend the javelin throw title and the first Indian to win multiple gold medals in singles events if he replicates his Tokyo success.

India’s men’s hockey team will compete for the bronze medal after a close 2-3 defeat to Germany in the semi-final. Harmanpreet Singh and team will face Spain, aiming to secure the bronze for the second consecutive Games.

After a tough day in wrestling, where Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from the gold medal match, other Indian wrestlers will return to action. Aman Sehrawat and Anshu Malik will start their campaigns in their respective round of 16 matches.

Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar will represent India in the women’s individual strokeplay round 2 golf event.
