Neeraj Chopra Javelin Throw Final Highlights

12 athletes threw the javelin in the first three rounds. Neeraj Chopra came at number eight to throw the javelin. His first round was a foul. After this, in the second round, Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem made an Olympic record by throwing 92.92 meters javelin and came in first place. In the second round, Neeraj Chopra also made the best throw of his season by throwing 89.45 meters javelin and came in second place. After this, Neeraj got the next three rounds declared foul, after which he confirmed his claim for the medal and was successful in winning the silver medal for the country.

Neeraj means medal guarantee

Neeraj Chopra, who created history by winning the gold medal in Tokyo 2020, will return home with a silver medal this time. With this, he has joined the select Indian players who have won medals twice in the Olympic Games. Before Neeraj, this achievement was achieved only by Norman Pritchard, Sushil Kumar, PV Sindhu and Manu Bhaker. The special thing is that Manu Bhaker has also increased the pride of the country by winning two bronze medals in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
