Manu opened the country’s medal account in these games by winning the bronze medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event. After this, she also won a bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event along with Sarabjot Singh. But, the 22 year old Indian shooter missed out on creating history, as she finished fourth in the 25m pistol event at the Paris Olympics 2024. She dropped out of the top 3 at the last moment, where her score was 28.

Star women’s shooter Manu Bhaker will be India’s flag bearer at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics. Manu created history by winning two bronze medals at the Paris Games. Manu opened the country’s medal account in these games by winning the bronze medal in the women’s 10m air pistol event. After this, she also won a bronze medal in the 10 meter air pistol mixed team event along with Sarabjot Singh.

Indian Olympic Association (IOA) official said, ‘Yes, Manu has been selected as the flag bearer. She had performed brilliantly and she deserves it.’ The 22-year-old shooter from Haryana had earlier said that it is an honor to be India’s flag bearer. Apart from Manu, Swapnil Kusale won a bronze medal for India in the men’s 50 meter rifle three position. The IOA has not yet announced the male flag bearer, but it is believed that it will be announced in the coming days.
