Nag Ashwin’s film Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, released on June 27 to significant success. Within three days, the film grossed Rs 220 crore in India across all languages, as reported by sacnilk.com. Despite the T20 World Cup 2024 Final on Saturday, Kalki 2898 AD earned Rs 67.1 crore net in India across languages, with the Telugu version leading at Rs 126.9 crore, followed by Hindi with Rs 72.5 crore, and Tamil with Rs 12.8 crore. Globally, the film has accumulated Rs 298.5 crore within just two days.

On June 29, Kalki 2898 AD maintained a strong presence in cinemas, recording a 74.24% occupancy in Telugu regions. Morning shows attracted 56.64% of viewers, while afternoon, evening, and night shows saw 76.50%, 78.88%, and 84.93% attendance, respectively. The film debuted impressively, grossing Rs 95.3 crore net in India on its first day, followed by Rs 57.6 crore on Friday.

Despite a 43% drop from its initial earnings, it amassed a total net of Rs 149.3 crore in India by day two. Across languages, the Telugu version led with Rs 25.65 crore, followed by Tamil with Rs 3.5 crore, Hindi with Rs 22.5 crore, Kannada with Rs 0.35 crore, and Malayalam with Rs 2 crore. Globally, Kalki 2898 AD opened with Rs 191.5 crore on its first day, signaling a strong start for the Prabhas-starrer.

Kalki 2898 AD made history with a global opening of Rs 191 crore, making it the third biggest opener in Indian cinema history. It surpassed the opening day records set by blockbusters like “KGF 2” and “Jawan,” though films like “RRR” and “Baahubali 2” still hold the top spots.

The film was released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. In its Tamil version, it earned Rs 3.5 crore on its second day after opening with Rs 4.5 crore. In Kannada, Kalki 2898 AD collected Rs 30 lakh on day 1 and Rs 35 lakh on day 2. The Malayalam version earned a total of Rs 4.4 crore in two days, with Rs 2.2 crore on day 1 and Rs 2 crore on day 2. The film’s total two-day collection in India stands at Rs 149.3 crore net.
