Jailer 2 is having a big first Sunday at the box office. Rajinikanth’s action sequel had collected Rs 39.01 crore gross in India on Day 4 by Sunday evening, with more than 19 lakh tickets sold, and the figure is set to rise further once the night shows are counted. The film has now earned over Rs 191 crore gross in India across its four-day opening weekend, based on ticket sales.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, Jailer 2 released on Thursday, October 15, 2026, in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. Here is the full Day 4 box office report, with the language-wise, state-wise and day-wise collection.

By Sunday evening, Jailer 2 had collected Rs 39.01 crore gross from 19,07,446 tickets sold across 11,668 shows. The film is playing in 3,260 theatres in 1,310 cities across India.

Occupancy of 57.9% on the fourth day is a strong number for a film playing in more than 11,000 shows. More than 1,600 of those shows were housefull, a sign that family audiences turned up in large numbers on the first Sunday.

The Tamil version brought in about 70% of the day’s business. The Hindi version, which had a slow start on the opening days, is picking up a little over the weekend.

Tamil Nadu leads by a big margin, as expected. The numbers from Karnataka and Kerala stand out. Karnataka has collected more than Andhra Pradesh and Telangana combined on Day 4, even though the Kannada version brought in less than Rs 1 crore, which shows how many people there are watching the Tamil version. Kerala, where the film does not have a Malayalam version, has added Rs 5.63 crore.

Almost all of the film’s business comes from regular 2D screens. Premium formats such as IMAX, Dolby Cinema and 4DX together add less than Rs 1 crore a day, which shows that Jailer 2 is pulling in mass audiences in single screens and regular multiplex shows.

The film had a normal drop on Friday after its huge opening day, then bounced back strongly on Saturday with a jump of more than 25%. The Sunday figure above was recorded in the evening, so the final Day 4 total will be higher once the evening and night shows are added.

Net collection is the amount left after GST is taken out of the ticket price, which is why it is lower than the gross figures above. After three days, the Tamil version had earned Rs 104.55 crore net, followed by Telugu at Rs 28.25 crore, Hindi at Rs 10.65 crore and Kannada at Rs 1.15 crore. The final Day 4 figure is expected to be higher than this early estimate once the night shows are counted.
Jailer 2 Worldwide Box Office Collection
Jailer 2 had crossed Rs 317 crore gross worldwide after its first three days, with Rs 169.65 crore from India and Rs 147.50 crore from overseas markets. With another strong Sunday in India and overseas, the four-day worldwide total is set to move well past Rs 350 crore. The film is already one of the biggest Tamil openers of all time.

What Next for Jailer 2 at the Box Office?
The real test begins on Monday, when weekend crowds go back to work and school. A Monday collection of around half the Sunday figure would be considered a decent hold for a film of this size. Jailer 2 also faces competition in the Telugu states from Vijay Deverakonda’s Ranabaali, which released a day after it on October 16.
