Police confirmed that the actor did not suffer any gunshot injuries, while his driver was hurt in the hand and is out of danger. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the attack, and Mumbai Police have formed 15 teams to track down the attackers.
The incident took place around 7 PM near Pushpa Park, within the limits of Juhu police station, as Tiger was leaving a venue in the area.
Tiger Shroff Injury Update: Actor Completely Safe
Police were quick to put fans’ worries to rest. “Mr. Tiger Shroff did not sustain any gunshot injuries; he is completely safe,” DCP Mohit Garg said after the incident.
His father, actor Jackie Shroff, also confirmed that Tiger was unharmed. After the incident, Tiger went to the police station and assisted officers with the investigation.
Driver and Autorickshaw Driver Injured
Tiger’s driver, Firdaus, suffered an injury to his left hand during the attack. Police said he is out of danger. An autorickshaw driver, identified as Chauhan, was also injured and is receiving treatment. Police have not yet said whether the two were hit by bullets or hurt in the chaos that followed.
A video said to show the shooting has been widely shared on social media, with several gunshots heard in the clip. Its authenticity has not been independently confirmed.
15 Police Teams Probing the Attack
Mumbai Police have formed 15 teams, including officers from the Crime Branch and local police, to identify and arrest those involved. A forensic team has collected ballistic evidence from the spot and examined the vehicle to work out how many rounds were fired. Officers are also going through CCTV footage from the area.
Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility
Soon after the firing, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the attack through a social media post. The post named Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu as taking “full responsibility” and claimed that Tiger was targeted for working with Salman Khan. It also warned that anyone in the film industry who works with Salman Khan “will be next.”
An audio message, in which a man claiming to speak for the gang repeated the threat, has also surfaced online. Police said they are verifying both the post and the audio, and that it is too early to confirm the motive behind the attack.
The Bishnoi gang has been linked to earlier threats against Salman Khan, including the April 2024 firing outside his home in Bandra, in which police later arrested six people and charged nine, including Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi.
Devendra Fadnavis Speaks to Tiger Shroff
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also holds the Home portfolio, spoke to Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti and asked for quick arrests and strict action. He also called Tiger Shroff and told him, “We are all with you. We will track down the accused soon. Do not worry.”
Union Minister Piyush Goyal called it a very sad incident and said he was confident the police would arrest the accused. Opposition leaders, including from the Congress and NCP (SP), questioned the state of law and order in Mumbai and pointed to earlier incidents in the city, including the 2024 murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique and the firing outside Salman Khan’s home.
Film Industry Demands Action
The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) urged the government to take the strictest action against those behind the attack, arrest both the shooters and the people who ordered it, and provide proper security for film personalities and their families.
Tiger Shroff has not yet made a public statement about the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected once the police identify the attackers.
