Rajinikanth’s Fee
Jailer 2 is built around Rajinikanth, and his pay reflects that. A fixed fee of Rs 110 crore puts him among the highest-paid actors in India. He is also said to have a share in the film’s profits. If the film becomes a big hit, his total earnings could touch Rs 180 crore, one of the biggest paydays in Indian cinema.
Mohanlal and Vijay Sethupathi
Reports on Mohanlal’s fee for returning as Mathew vary widely, from Rs 12 crore to Rs 30 crore. Vijay Sethupathi, whose surprise entry in the last scene has become the most talked-about moment of the film, is reported to have been paid around Rs 9 crore. That is lower than his usual Rs 15 crore to Rs 25 crore per film, which makes sense for such a short role.
Hrithik Roshan’s Cameo
Hrithik Roshan reportedly stepped into the cameo that was first meant for Shah Rukh Khan. His fee for Jailer 2 has not been made public. As a lead actor, he usually charges between Rs 80 crore and Rs 110 crore per film, but special appearances are often done on very different terms, sometimes even as a friendly gesture.
Vidya Balan and the Rest of the Cast

Can Jailer 2 Recover Its Budget?
The first Jailer, released in 2023, earned over Rs 600 crore worldwide and became one of the biggest Tamil hits of all time. Jailer 2 has opened strongly, with the Tamil version leading the collections and the Telugu, Hindi and Kannada versions adding to the total.
