IC 814 is an upcoming thriller web series based on the longest aviation hijack in the history. The show was announced a few months ago with Anubhav Sinha, the director of films Thappad and Article 15 spearheading the series as director in his OTT debut.

IC 814 is expected to be released in the last quarter of 2024 on Netflix. There is no official exact release date of the web series. Currently, the show is being shot and will go into post production after that before reaching the viewers via Netflix.

IC 814 Plot
The series goes into the terrifying hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 814 on December 24, 1999, on its way from Kathmandu to Delhi. Over the course of seven days, five masked gunmen took possession of the Airbus, diverting it many times to Amritsar, Lahore, and Dubai before landing in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Stranded passengers, totaling 188 people, faced a terrible adventure, alternating between being grounded and soaring at 30,000 feet.
