How to Get Rid of Whiteheads at Home?

Whiteheads are a common skin problem that can dull the natural glow of your face. Whiteheads are actually a type of acne, medically known as closed comedones. They occur when the pores of the skin get blocked. To get rid of whiteheads, people often try different remedies. But did you know that some simple home remedies can help reduce whiteheads effectively?

Easy Home Remedies to Get Rid of Whiteheads

    Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil has antibacterial properties that help fight acne and whiteheads. Apply a small amount of tea tree oil directly on the whitehead using a cotton swab. If you have sensitive skin, mix it with a few drops of coconut oil before applying.

    Honey
Honey has antibacterial properties and also moisturises the skin. Slightly warm a small amount of honey and apply it to the affected area for 15 minutes. Wash it off with water afterwards.

    Baking Soda
Baking soda is a natural exfoliator that helps remove dirt and unclog pores. Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with a little water to make a paste. Apply it only to the affected area for 2–3 minutes, then rinse with cold water. Use this remedy only once a week, as it can make the skin dry.

    Oatmeal Scrub
Oatmeal helps remove dead skin cells gently. Mix ground oats with yoghurt to make a paste. Massage it onto your face with light hands for 4–5 minutes, then wash it off.
