BSNL Brings Full-On Entertainment, 500 Live Channels and OTT Access Without Any Extra Cost

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has added a new chapter to the Indian telecom industry by launching its first fiber-based intranet TV service in select regions of the country. This service, named IFTV, is based on BSNL’s Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) network. Under this new service, BSNL is offering its customers over 500 live TV channels and pay TV content in high quality. This will not only bring a new direction to entertainment but also reduce internet costs.

BSNL recently unveiled six new services along with its new logo. The most prominent among them is the fiber-based intranet TV service, which is called IFTV (Internet Fiber TV).

Currently, BSNL has launched this service in Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, where customers can enjoy over 500 live TV channels. Additionally, the data used for TV streaming through BSNL’s IFTV service will not be deducted from the user’s data pack. Instead, IFTV will be provided with unlimited data, free of any extra charges, for BSNL FTTH customers.

    OTT and Other Entertainment Features
BSNL’s new service is not limited to live channels alone. The company has also included major OTT platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Netflix, YouTube, and ZEE5 in this service. Moreover, BSNL’s customers will have access to gaming facilities. However, this service will work only on Android TVs. Customers with TVs running Android 10 or above can download the BSNL Live TV app from the Google Play Store to enjoy this service.

Why Did BSNL Take This Step?
BSNL’s move is an expansion of its Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service launched earlier this year. According to the company, the aim of this new initiative is to make the service secure, affordable, and reliable. Additionally, BSNL has introduced another feature called the “National Wi-Fi Roaming Service,” allowing customers to enjoy high-speed internet at BSNL hotspots across the country, helping them reduce their data costs.

With the new IFTV service, BSNL is not only establishing a significant presence in the digital entertainment world but also providing its customers with a more affordable and reliable option. This service promises BSNL customers an excellent experience without worrying about data usage costs while enjoying their favorite content.
