Netflix has confirmed that the hit Japanese thriller series Alice in Borderland will return for a third season. Adapted from Haro Aso’s manga, the show continues following the success of its second season, which premiered on December 22, 2022.
The series revolves around Arisu, a high school student and gamer, who, along with his two friends, ends up in a deserted version of Tokyo. To survive, they must take part in perilous games, pushing their limits as they search for a way to escape this mysterious and dangerous world.
Although the plot of the upcoming season remains a mystery, speculation suggests it might pick up after the characters’ escape from Borderland, potentially with no memory of their experiences. Fans are also eager to see if new twists, challenges, or a different game master will be introduced.

Alice in Borderland was a major success for Netflix, becoming the most-watched live-action series globally in 2020. It also secured a spot in the top 10 rankings in 40 countries and regions, according to Sportskeeda. The cast features Kento Yamazaki as Ryohei Arisu, Tao Tsuchiya as Yuzuha Usagi, and Nijiro Murakami as Shuntaro Chishiya.
Netflix has yet to announce the official release date for Season 3.
