Vijay Salgaonkar thought he had outsmarted everyone. Turns out, the game isn’t over yet. The trailer for Drishyam The Conclusion, better known as Drishyam 3, is finally out, and this time Ajay Devgn’s ever calculating family man has more than one person coming after him.
Set to release in theatres on October 2, the film brings in Jaideep Ahlawat as SP Crime Branch Rajveer Singh Tomar, a sharp new officer who’s determined to dig up the truth Vijay has spent years burying.
On top of that, Prakash Raj joins as a lawyer, adding legal pressure to the mix alongside Tabu, who returns as the franchise’s original adversary, Meera Deshmukh. Three formidable opponents, one man trying to protect his family. That’s the setup this time around, and it’s a noticeably tougher spot than what Vijay has faced before.
What the Trailer Actually Shows
The story picks up after the events of Drishyam 2, but with a fresh mystery driving the plot forward. As Rajveer takes charge of the case, old questions start resurfacing, and Vijay finds himself edging closer to the secrets he thought he had permanently sealed away. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Daayra brings its own tense cop drama to the table, and it’s shaping up to be one of the more gripping releases in that space too.
Familiar Faces, New Pressure
Alongside Tabu, Shriya Saran and Rajat Kapoor also return to the franchise, keeping the emotional core of the story intact. Prakash Raj’s entry as the opposing lawyer adds another complication to a case where every move genuinely seems to matter.
The trailer makes it clear that this isn’t just about outrunning one investigator anymore. Vijay now has to contend with both the law and the legal system closing in from different directions at once.
There’s also a strong sense of nostalgia baked into the trailer, with Goa once again playing a central role in Vijay Salgaonkar’s world. Fittingly, the makers chose Goa for the trailer launch itself, taking media and influencers through locations tied to the earlier films before revealing the trailer in Panaji. Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, and Jaideep Ahlawat were all present at the event.

Drishyam The Conclusion is directed by Abhishek Pathak, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. The cast also includes Kamlesh Sawant, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav in supporting roles. The film is presented by Star Studio18 and produced by Panorama Studios, with Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak producing.
Interestingly, this isn’t the only high-stakes thriller gearing up for release around this time.
