Nothing Phone 4b RCB Edition Is Coming to India on July 7 and It Looks Stunning

Red finish, RCB branding, and a limited drop event in Bengaluru — here's everything you need to know before launch day

Nothing Phone 4b RCB Edition Is Coming to India on July 7 and It Looks Stunning

Nothing has been on a roll lately, and just when you thought things couldn’t get more interesting, the Carl Pei-led company goes ahead and announces a cricket-themed limited edition smartphone right before the IPL fever fully cools down. The Nothing Phone 4b is set to launch in India on July 7, and riding alongside it is a special variant that’s already got people talking — the Nothing Phone 4b RCB Edition.

If you’re a cricket fan, a collector, or just someone who likes their phone to look a little different from everyone else’s, this one might be worth your attention.

What Is the Nothing Phone 4b RCB Edition?

Before we get into the details, a quick bit of context. Earlier this year, Nothing announced a strategic tie-up with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, taking on the role of both jersey sponsor and title sponsor for the IPL franchise during the 2026 season. That’s a pretty big deal for a brand that’s still relatively young in the Indian market.

The RCB Edition smartphone is essentially a physical extension of that partnership. It’s not just a sticker job or a box change — the collaboration has actually shaped how the device looks, from the color down to the finer design details.

Launch Date and How to Buy It

Both the standard Nothing Phone 4b and the RCB Edition will officially launch in India on July 7. The regular model gets its unveiling at 3:30 PM IST, and if you’re eyeing the special edition, things kick off a little later, at 4:00 PM IST.

Here’s where it gets a bit more exciting for fans in Bengaluru. The RCB Edition won’t just pop up online first — it’s going on sale through a special drop event at Nothing’s very first exclusive brand store in India, located on Bengaluru’s well-known 100 Feet Road.

The location makes sense given the city’s deep connection with RCB, and it gives the whole launch a bit of an event-style feel rather than a simple product rollout. After the launch, the standard Phone 4b will be available through Flipkart for everyone else.

The Design: Bold Red, RCB Insignia, and a Strong Contrast

Nothing has already shared official images of the RCB Edition, and it’s safe to say the phone doesn’t shy away from making a statement.

The most obvious change is the color. While the standard Phone 4b is confirmed to arrive in at least a blue variant, the RCB Edition goes in a very different direction with a striking red finish. It’s the same shade of red you’d associate with RCB’s iconic jersey, which is clearly intentional and works really well on a smartphone.

The back panel carries the RCB insignia right at the center, giving it that instant recognition factor among fans. And to balance out all that red, the power button and volume buttons are finished in black, which creates a clean visual contrast and stops the design from feeling too loud overall.

The overall form factor stays close to the standard Phone 4b, so you’re not getting a completely different phone here. But the cosmetic changes are meaningful enough to make it feel like a genuinely distinct product rather than just a color swap.

Who Is This Phone Actually For?

Nothing is describing the RCB Edition as a limited-edition collectible, and that framing matters. This isn’t meant to be a mass-market phone for everyone. It’s specifically aimed at a few different groups.

Cricket enthusiasts and RCB fans are the obvious target, and honestly, the design speaks directly to them. But there’s also a collector angle here — Nothing has confirmed that only a small number of units will be produced, and sales will follow a first-come, first-served model. That kind of limited availability tends to create urgency, and it’s likely to drive serious interest among early adopters and people who like owning something not everyone can get their hands on.

Expected Specs: What We Know So Far

Nothing hasn’t revealed the full spec sheet yet, so there’s still a bit of mystery around the Phone 4b. What the company has confirmed is that the phone will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. The exact processor model is being kept under wraps until the official launch event on July 7.

Given that the Phone 4b is positioned as an affordable smartphone, expect the chipset to sit somewhere in the mid-range Snapdragon lineup rather than the flagship tier. But more clarity on that is just days away at this point.

What we do know is that the Phone 4b will carry Nothing’s signature design language, the transparent-inspired back panel look that the brand has become known for. It’s a design approach that’s helped Nothing carve out a unique visual identity in a market full of phones that tend to look very similar to each other.

    Why This Launch Feels Different

A lot of brands do limited editions, but most of them feel like an afterthought — a color change with a co-branded box slapped on at the end. The Nothing Phone 4b RCB Edition feels a bit more thought out than that.

The RCB partnership actually started at the jersey level this season, which means the collaboration has had time to build a real identity before rolling out onto a physical product. Opening a brand store in Bengaluru and hosting a drop event there on launch day adds a layer of energy that most smartphone launches simply don’t have.

For Nothing, this is also a smart way to deepen its presence in India, which remains one of the most competitive and fastest-growing smartphone markets in the world. Aligning with a franchise as passionate and widely followed as RCB gives the brand access to a fan base that’s massive, vocal, and often very brand-loyal.

Should You Try to Get One?

If you’re a die-hard RCB fan or someone who collects limited edition tech, the answer is probably yes, and you’ll want to move quickly given the limited units available.

For everyone else, the standard Nothing Phone 4b launching the same day on Flipkart is likely to be the more practical option, especially once full specs and pricing are out in the open. The Snapdragon chipset and Nothing’s familiar design approach already make it a promising mid-range option on paper.

Either way, July 7 is shaping up to be a fun day for Nothing fans in India. Whether you’re heading to the Bengaluru store for the limited drop or simply watching the launch stream from home, it’s worth keeping an eye on what Nothing has to say.
