34% Tariff on China, Bigger Blow to Pakistan-Bangladesh Than India; Find Out How Much Tax Trump Plans to Impose on Each Country

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced Discounted Reciprocal Tariffs, introducing special taxes on imports from countries including India and China. Several Asian nations will face tariffs ranging from 30% to 45%.

    India Also Faces a Setback

The U.S. will impose a 26% tariff on imports from India, while imports from China will be taxed at 34%. Announcing these retaliatory tariffs, Trump stated that the U.S. had been exploited by other countries for years.

    Tariffs on Different Countries

    • Cambodia – 49%
    • Vietnam – 46%
    • Switzerland – 31%
    • Taiwan – 32%
    • European Union – 20%
    • United Kingdom – 10% (a relatively lower rate)

    Tariffs on Pakistan and Bangladesh

    • Pakistan – 29%
    • Bangladesh – 37%

    Other nations facing tariffs:

    • Taiwan – 32%
    • Japan – 24%

    Heavy Tariff on Automobiles

Trump has also announced a 25% tariff on automobiles, which will take effect from April 3, while tariffs on auto parts will be implemented from May 3.

Trump stated, “American taxpayers have been looted for over 50 years, but not anymore.” He promised that these tariffs would bring back manufacturing jobs to the U.S. However, there is a risk of economic slowdown, as the price of cars, clothing, and other goods may rise sharply, impacting both businesses and consumers.
