During monsoon, most of the time the local shops and market areas might be shutdown, therefore its better to avoid going this season.

You just have to keep in mind that during the monsoon season, it rains continuously in many places of Uttarakhand, due to which the roads become slippery. Driving or roaming in such places during this season is not free from danger.
