Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s romantic drama Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera (TMMTMTTMT) struggled to maintain its pace at the box office on its second day, December 26. Released on Christmas, the film is facing stiff competition from Aditya Dhar’s action-packed Dhurandhar and James Cameron’s Hollywood sci-fi spectacle Avatar: Fire and Ash, both of which continue to dominate the box office.
The film’s weak performance clearly highlights the challenges it faces in the coming days, especially while competing with big-ticket releases. Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar earned ₹15 crore on the same day—more than double the collection of TMMTMTTMT. Meanwhile, Avatar: Fire and Ash continues to post strong numbers across several cinemas, steadily boosting its overall earnings.
Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera box office collection
According to Sacnilk, TMMTMTTMT collected ₹5 crore on Saturday, a sharp drop from its opening day collection of ₹7.75 crore. The film’s total box office collection now stands at ₹12.75 crore. Hindi occupancy remained low at just 16.31%, with evening shows witnessing the highest footfall.

Warning signs for Kartik Aaryan’s film
Directed by Sameer Sanjay Vidwans, TMMTMTTMT tells the love story of Ray (Kartik Aaryan) and Rumi (Ananya Panday), whose relationship blossoms during a picturesque trip to Croatia. Rumi faces a dilemma—whether to stay in Agra with her father (Jackie Shroff) or move to the US with Ray. The film also features veteran actresses Neena Gupta and Aruna Irani in key roles.
Avatar: Fire and Ash eighth-day earnings
Speaking of Hollywood release Avatar: Fire and Ash, the film performed impressively in its first week at the Indian box office, though it showed signs of slowing down in the second week. As per Sacnilk, the James Cameron directorial saw a dip on its eighth day, earning approximately ₹7.50 crore in India—its lowest single-day collection so far. The second Friday’s collection was even lower than the film’s first Monday, which stood at around ₹9 crore.
Avatar: Fire and Ash total India collection
Despite the slowdown, Avatar: Fire and Ash has amassed a total collection of around ₹117 crore in India by the end of its eighth day. On Friday, the film recorded an overall English occupancy of 40.33%, with evening shows peaking at 56.27%. Its total gross collection in India is approximately ₹141.75 crore. Remarkably, within just one week, the film became the highest-grossing Hollywood release in India in 2025. Previously, Cameron topped the Indian box office in 2022 with Avatar: The Way of Water, which earned nearly ₹500 crore.
