The United States maintains its leading position in the global billionaire rankings, boasting 813 billionaires, an increase from 735 in the previous year. The cumulative wealth of American billionaires has reached an unprecedented $5.7 trillion, up significantly from $4.5 trillion. This growth can be partly attributed to the emergence of 97 new billionaires, including notable individuals such as Taylor Swift, NBA legend Magic Johnson, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. Furthermore, 14 out of the top 20 richest people globally are U.S. citizens, with eight among the world’s ten wealthiest also originating from the U.S., although it is noteworthy that the richest individual worldwide is French rather than American.

    2. China

Correspondingly, the cumulative net worth of these billionaires has decreased from $1.67 trillion to $1.3 trillion. This downturn can be predominantly attributed to a substantial decline in the property market and a stock market rout, which have significantly impacted the fortunes of China’s ultra-wealthy citizens.
