The Golden Chariot Luxury Train: As Luxurious as a 7-Star Hotel | Check Out the Ticket Prices

The Golden Chariot, a luxury train operated by Indian Railways and IRCTC, is set to resume its journeys once again. The Golden Chariot Luxury Tourist Train, which showcases Karnataka’s rich cultural heritage, will begin its operations on December 14, 2024. The train features 13 double-bed cabins, 26 twin-bed cabins, and 1 cabin for disabled guests, accommodating up to 80 passengers in total.

The Golden Chariot, named after the golden chariot, offers a royal experience to its passengers. The luxurious cabins are equipped with air conditioning and Wi-Fi, along with cushioned furniture, opulent bathrooms, comfortable beds, and large TVs where passengers can enjoy various OTT platforms. The train also features a salon for additional relaxation.

The Golden Chariot ensures an exquisite dining experience with two fine-dining restaurants, Ruchi and Nalapak, serving both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes on international-quality crockery and cutlery. The train’s bar offers a selection of top-brand wines, beers, and Madeira.

For health-conscious travelers, the train provides an Arogya Spa, where passengers can indulge in various spa therapies. There’s also a modern gym equipped with state-of-the-art exercise machines.

For safety, the train is fully equipped with CCTV cameras and a fire alarm system, ensuring the well-being of all passengers. With its luxurious amenities, the Golden Chariot offers an experience comparable to a 7-star hotel.

The cost for a 5-night, 6-day journey aboard the Golden Chariot is Rs 4,00,530, plus 5% GST.

  • Pride of Karnataka (5 Nights/6 Days) – Starting from Bengaluru, with stops at Bandipur, Mysore, Halebidu, Chikmagalur, Hampi, Goa, and back to Bengaluru.
  • Gems of the South (5 Nights/6 Days) – Starting from Bengaluru, with stops at Mysore, Kanchipuram, Mahabalipuram, Thanjavur, Chettinad, Cochin, Cherthala, and back to Bengaluru.
