After a long wait, the horror-comedy film Bhootni starring Sanjay Dutt and Mouni Roy has finally hit theatres today. The genre has gained popularity in recent years, especially after the success of films like Stree and Munjya, and Bhootni is expected to receive a positive response from audiences.
Directed and written by Siddhant Sachdev, Bhootni features a star cast including Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy, Sunny Singh, Ashif Khan, Nikunj Lotia, and more. It is presented by Soham Rockstar Entertainment and Three Dimension Motion Pictures, and produced by Deepak Mukut and Sanjay Dutt. The co-producers are Hunar Mukut and Manyata Dutt.
Set in a college with a mysterious “Virgin Tree,” the story unfolds around the festival of Holi when strange incidents begin to happen, including student suicides. While the college management denies the presence of any supernatural force, they call in a modern tantric played by Sanjay Dutt. Meanwhile, a ghost falls in love with Sunny Singh’s character, and the mystery behind her obsession forms the core of the film.

The film is expected to do well at the box office. However, for those who prefer watching films at home, there is currently no official update on the OTT release of Bhootni. As with most films, it is likely to arrive on a streaming platform 40–45 days after its theatrical release.
