Nokia 9.3 PureView : Launch Delayed to the Second Half of 2020

Category-

Every time we hear something about the launch of Nokia’s new installment, the Nokia 9.3 PureView launch delayed and shifted to the second half of 2020, yet again.

Yesterday, HMD reportedly pushed back the launch of flagship till H2 2020. The history of the phone is amusing and depressing at the same time.

Initially, HMD Global was expected to launch its first 5G smartphone, called the Nokia 8.2 5G. However, the handset was renamed and was leaked to be launching again as Nokia 8.3 5G.

This was to keep the order maintained with other Nokia installments of this year including Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 1.3.

Finnish, on the other hand, was reportedly working on a new flagship phone. This was expected to replace the Nokia 9.2 PureView. But as this new leak surfaced up, it might be launched with its new name, the ‘Nokia 9.3 PureView’.

Reports from ‘Nokia Power User’ claims that Nokia’s SD865 flagship phone will be arriving in the second half of 2020.

The prominent reason for this delay is no surprise to the fans. The major outbreak of the novel Coronavirus has hit HMD’s supply chain quite hard.

With limited resources, the company was forced to shift its launch in the latter part of this year, missing out on the original 2019 launch window.

Until now, we have our grip on some major specification leaks of the upcoming PureView. From the previous reports, the ‘Nokia 9.3 PureView‘ will be using the Snapdragon 865 chipset. This processor is a major upgrade from the S855, causing one of the previous delays.

As for the camera, HMD has been focusing on it for quite some time. After hearing out news leaks from major smartphone brands like Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo and Honor, HMD gave us some hint on their new under-display camera design.

It is speculated that this new phone could be the ‘Nokia 9.3 PureView’, featuring first-ever in-screen camera technology.

Adding to this, the smartphone is rumored to feature a curved bezel-less screen in it. Coming with a 32MP or 48 MP front-facing camera, the ‘Nokia 9.3 PureView’ could facilitate wireless charging but may lack the 3.5mm audio jack in it.

Well! if you were that someone who was waiting for Nokia’s flagship then you must be quite disappointed right now. All you could do now is use your old device and have to wait a little longer till the effects of this epidemic start to vanish off.
